- Communicate with others that you need some time alone
- Indulge in long baths or showers
- Set a time to meditate and pray in the morning and before bed
- Get up and do something in between commercials
- Develop a fun fitness routine
2. Take advantage of the time to connect with others via social media, texts, email, face time, and telephone. Please keep in mind the elderly, sick and shut in.
3. Consider writing notes, postcards or letters to loved ones that may be incarcerated, away in the military, and treatment centers.
5. Think of ways you can Pay-It-Forward to humanity i.e. making masks, volunteering to assist with providing childcare for first responders, help with local food banks, and check on local neighbors that are elderly and disabled.
6. Create your "New Normal" daily schedule.
7. Think of ways to become more self sufficient. (start an indoor garden, learn to make some household items, i.e. hand sanitizer, wipes, canned fruits and vegetables)
8. Indulge in healthier food and drink choices to maintain health, physical stamina, and emotional well being. Stay hydrated.
9, Consider supplementing your diet with vitamin-d rich foods or vitamins due to lack of sun exposure. It also wards off depression.
10. Anxiety and depression may tend to creep up. This is very normal. However, don't allow it to set in. Consider all of the suggestions listed above. If things are not working, please seek professional help immediately.
