Practicing #Abundance when we are living in times where #Scarcity is the headline daily.
You may be wondering how you can help others during these fluctuating financially challenging times. It can be downright depressing when you see the news and so many countries are in need. There is a shortage of water in certain regions while some have unsafe drinking water. There are many job listings, but many want you to do 2-3 jobs and pay you for one job. Let's not mention the salaries being offered that do not even come to half way keeping up with the cost of living. Lastly, there is Covid-19 and Monkey Pox to be concerned with on top of other shortage issues like teachers and other school staffing.
There are many ways you can help others even if you feel like you are driving the struggle bus yourself. One of the key notes is to cast your cares on GOD as it relates to things that you have no control over. Tackle situations in small bites, and find someone to discuss your thoughts and feelings with because you are not alone. You do not have to navigate these unsure waters alone.

The shortages are world wide. There are various reasons adding to the shortages. We have lost many workers due to Covid-19 ; lingering life altering side effects; many deaths; shut downs; backlog; and those caring for loved ones. So we are dealing with the aftermath of not enough workers, and there probably won't be enough for a long while with all of the variables adding to losses. Now add Monkey Pox that may pull more people from the workforce.
Ways to give while practicing an Abundance frame of mind.
- Look around your environment and see what you can give away to someone in need or sell at a low price? (Rule of thumb- If you haven't used it in 6 months, then it's time to let it GO!
- Are you a gardener? Do you have more than enough for your family from your harvest? Give it to your neighbors, friends, family, coworkers, or church members.
- Have you thought of helping others to start a garden? When you teach a person to garden, then everyone can eat.
- It's school time for many, and supplies are needed. Do you have extra paper, pens, pencils, envelopes, etc. that you can donate to local schools or students in your neighborhood?
- Many are having to choose between rides, medication, rent, or food. Are you able to carpool, donate food directly to those in need or food banks; or have extra living space that you could rent?
- The most needed acts of kindness are smiles, hugs, understanding, patience, and kind words. Aim to express one of these daily with everyone you come in contact with.
- If you have knowledge that may be helpful to others, post it; tell it; and share it.
- Knowing that many are pulling their own little red wagon of concerns: be Kind, Prayerful; and inspire Joy.
- Be VERY PATIENT with those you interact with within your residence; on the telephone; and in person. Many people are burned out, and kindness helps them to continue pushing forward.
- Create your own little gifts to give. They don't have to be monetary, but the goal is to make someone smile!
