Covid-19 on the Up rise. What can you do to fight a virus?

I have spoken to many people that have endured a virus such as the flu.  I spoke to the first person today by telephone that informed me she had contracted Covid-19.  I was really surprised because a couple of weeks ago she texted asking me to pray for her grandson.  Yesterday she had left me a voicemail checking in on me and my recovery from surgery.

At the end of the phone call today I was left thinking , "I wish I was closer to Nebraska to personally deliver a "Care Package."  However,  I will depend on USPS to help me out with delivery.  In addition, a few prayers are going up for this senior and her sister that both tested positive whom has to stay with her while the brother in law is hospitalized.

Disclosure: I am by far, not a medical doctor. Please consult your physician for medical advice.

I have a few suggestions for home remedies to reduce discomforts of a virus, especially when many doctors are not prescribing medication.

VeRONIca's Chicken Soup List for recovering from a virus

  1.   REST when you feel tired.  Do not delay.  Shoot for those 8-10 hours of sleep              nightly.
  2.   STAY AWAY FROM OTHERS while you are symptomatic.
  3.   Wash your hands frequently.
  4.   Wash  handkerchiefs, clothing and linens in hot water.
  5.   Sanitize personal living space 2-3 times daily by spraying pillows, linens, light              switches, faucets, doorknobs, refrigerator and toilet handles with an aerosol spray, ie    Lysol or antibacterial/antiviral spray.
  6.   Empty your bedroom trash daily to get rid of soiled tissues.
  7.   Use a humidifier or steam water on stove in a large pot.  Add essential oils such as        Eucalyptus, Lavender, Mint, Cinnamon, Lemon, Lemongrass, etc.
  8.   Make teas with Fresh Lemon, Honey, Cinnamon, Turmeric, Ginger.  For more              information on essential oils, please visit, Pure and Natural Essential Oils
  9.   Eat light, but healthy.  Avoid dairy products,  Stick to Vegetable soups, broths, fresh      fruit, crackers, ginger ale, and fresh juices.
  10.   POSITIVITY- Avoid the news, negative thoughts and people. Instead, watch silly        and heart warming movies (Hallmark Channel), listen to music that brings you joy,      people watch from your window, and remember to open your window daily to              circulate fresh air.
  11.   CBD for pain and possible help sleeping.  For more information, please visit  My Trusted CBD distributor or my health coach and CBD tincture provider .
  12.   When you feel up to it, call, text, message others to keep your spirits up.

I  would love to hear back from you about your home remedies for overcoming a virus.
